Nghệ nhân cà phê Lưu Khánh Toàn
In conjunction with the event, coffee artisan Lưu Khánh Toàn and LKT Coffee are organizing a workshop entitled "Enjoying Vietnamese coffee with a Japanese tea set."
The LKT coffee and tea exchange will take place over 4 days at LaHoian café (16 Nguyễn Thái Học, Hội An). This is a new and exciting experience to mark the 20th anniversary of cultural exchanges between Hội An and Japan.
Visitors, locals, and Vietnamese coffee lovers will have the opportunity to explore and learn about the following at the LKT coffee and tea exchange:
LKT Coffee's understanding of the 6-step process to create a unique cup of coffee. This process is like a chain with many links, and the weakest link is the strength of the chain. Therefore, when coffee makers standardize and synchronize these "links," they will increase the value of Vietnamese agricultural products in general and bring long-term benefits to coffee growers in particular.
Introduction of inventions and creations of coffee brewing sets by artisan Lưu Khánh Toàn; watch the artisan demonstrate coffee brewing: combining a Japanese teapot with a Vietnamese rotating filter.
In essence, the event is a unique blend of Vietnamese and Japanese coffee culture, where visitors can learn about the intricacies of Vietnamese coffee making and witness a demonstration of a novel brewing method.

Interestingly enough, 2024 also marks the 20th anniversary of artisan Lưu Khánh Toàn's journey into the world of coffee. Having been connected to the Tây Nguyên region since before the 2000s, he quite coincidentally chose to learn about coffee making. He has continuously experimented and researched to perfect the coffee production chain "from farm to cup," which means from selecting seeds, planting, caring for, harvesting, processing, roasting, grinding, and brewing, to create diverse and customizable coffee flavors. Having achieved high-quality roasted coffee products, he has also innovated and developed many coffee brewing tools; most recently, the "Rotating Phin" which is an improvement of the traditional Vietnamese phin to introduce new, elegant, and unique ways of enjoying coffee, captivating the taste buds of coffee lovers.
Sự kiện sẽ diễn ra tại 16 Nguyễn Thái Học, Hội An từ ngày 1-4.8
Japan has a long-standing tea culture. The Japanese people deeply love and enjoy tea. To mark the 20th anniversary of cultural exchanges between Hoi An and Japan, artisan Lưu Khánh Toàn and LKT Coffee introduce a "Vietnamese-Japanese Coffee-Tea" as a creative fusion of ingredients and brewing tools: the Vietnamese phin filter and the Japanese teapot.
Artisan Lưu Khánh Toàn is also proud to introduce specialty coffee products, "From Farm to Cup," with unique production processes under the LKT COFFEE brand. He hopes that more and more Vietnamese people and people around the world will appreciate and trust Vietnamese coffee, embracing the "Four Noble Truths" philosophy of "Nhất thủy – Nhì Cà – Tam pha – Tứ ấm" (which roughly translates to "Water is first, coffee is second, brewing is third, and warmth is fourth").
